Winner of Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper December challenge

When I started this challenge blog at the beginning of the year, I never dreamed that it would attract so many entries every month - thank you so much for all your support and sharing such creativity with us. This blog would be nothing without YOU.

If I haven't yet got round to leaving a comment on your entry, I will do so, it's just that with Christmas and the busy-ness that it entails, I got a bit behind.

Unfortunately, there could only be one winner for the December challenge and this is the result of using random.org:

Number 350: vilinke,
This is one of the lovely shaped cards she shared:

Congratulations,  vilinke. Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com with your full name and address so that I can post your prize pack of papers.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper December challenge

Welcome to
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge

There are loads of challenge blogs around, but, as far as I know, there is a gap that needs to be filled:

A challenge that is always about using
Patterned Papers on cards

which is why I started

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge

I don't know about you, but I have enough patterned papers
to keep me going for a very long time

so let's make sure we use plenty of them

A gentle reminder: Please make sure you read the following (there are no other rules) because there have been a few entries creeping in where plain card stock has been used to cover the card blank with very little evidence of much patterned paper - after all, the whole idea of this challenge blog is to use patterned paper.

The monthly challenge will always be 'anything goes' as long as you cover your card blank or other creation with patterned paper or card, using any size or shape that you wish - there are no other rules! You can add embellishments if you wish, stamp, emboss etc - but you must cover your card blank with patterned paper or card. The creation can be for any occasion.

You can leave a small border around your paper when you adhere it to the card blank if you wish, but only a small border! And your creation doesn't have to be a card, it can be any project as long as it is covered with patterned paper.

You will be able to enter as many times as you wish during the month and link with as many other challenges as allow you to do so.

As I have an abundance of patterned paper - 12 x 12, 8 x 8, 6 x 6, A4 - I'm giving a prize each month to the randomly chosen winner. I'm willing to post anywhere in the world, so that means that anyone can enter regardless of where you live.

This is the prize for this month's challenge:

A pack of Old Treasures 8 x 8 papers - 12 designs x 2 sheets 160 gsm

Please scroll down or click here to see the winner of Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper November challenge.
It's worth checking because it might be you!

I hope you will join in again for the December challenge and that the news will spread even further so that others come and join us too.
December challenge

If your cards happen to fit the theme for the week on my CHNC challenge blog, please feel free to add there as well and also for my CHNC challenge extra blog, which is always 'anything goes as long as it's Christmas.

Remember that for this Patterned Paper challenge
cards can be for any occasion

I bought two packs of the Old Treasures papers so that I could make a card to show some of them - I used four papers from the pack - more about it here on My Crafty Outlook:

Please become a follower of this blog and also advertise it on your own blog so that others see it and join in - you may use the logo from the sidebar. Thank you to all of you who have already become followers and have spread the news of this blog - please keep doing so.

December's challenge will end at 20:00 UK time 31 December. The randomly chosen winner will be announced at 23:00 UK time on 31 December and a new challenge will start at midnight on 1 January 2015.

Please include a link to this blogpost within the post for your creation. Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

Please continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

I look forward to seeing your entries.

Having thought I wouldn't be able to get a card done in time, I managed to quickly put this A5 card together using a piece of unknown paper from my offcuts box, a vintage piece of ephemera taken from an old pack and some Hobbycraft flowers - more about it here on My Crafty Outlook - note that it is OK to leave a bit of a border around the patterned paper:

My first card is one that I've made for today's Sweet pea stampers 'just because' challenge. I used Karen Middleton's Sweet Pea Stamps 'butterfly blue' rubber stamp (also available as a digi), coloured with spectrum noir, mounted on to a piece of matching card before mounting on to the background paper from a pad called' summer textures'. The flowers with brad are Panduro hobby, the sentiment circle from Craftwork Cards and the felt buttons from Poundland. As well as joining in this Patterned Paper challenge we would love to see you join in the Sweet pea stampers 'just because' challenge too. You can read more about my card here on My Crafty Outlook:

My second card is one of three design cards I've done for CCAYR August challenge: sparkle and glitter.  The patterned paper was free with a magazine and I've used one of my favourite Christmas stamps Rubber Stampede Santa collage.  We would love to see you joining in the CCAYR challenge if you make any Christmas cards with sparkle and glitter. You can read more about this card here on My Crafty Outlook:

Winner of Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper July challenge

I'm blown away by the number of entries month by month - 527 entries for July. When I had the idea for this challenge blog I wasn't sure whether anyone would be that interested, so it has been beyond my wildest expectations to see so many crafters coming on board month by month, some of you have become 'regulars' and it's also good to see new people joining in too. Thank you so much for your support and enthusiasm in sharing your creativity using patterned paper.

I'm sorry that I'm unable to show a picture of the prize that will be sent to the randomly chosen winner (I'm away from home atm and forgot to prepare a photo) - so it will be a mystery package of patterned papers!

Also a big apology if I didn't get to comment on your entry for June - we were away for a few days until Wednesday of this week and, unfortunately, I came home poorly and am only just surfacing! I hope you will forgive me.

My first card is one that I made for my CHNC challenge extra for July that has just gone live (please join in that if you can) using  Little penguin winter - winter bench, kindly supplied by the sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured this digitally, and matted on to torn ovals - papers from my offcuts box. The corner pieces were created with a Spellbinders die. You can see this here on My Crafty Outlook.

Apology

I am aware that for some unknown reason the blogpost for the June challenge shows up and then disappears, leaving only the inlinkz. Please be patient as I try and fix it. Unfortunately, because I'll be out it won't be till later in the day.

I'm back again to apologise further that it's been such a week that I haven't got round to fixing this.

When you come into the blog, if the June challenge only shows the links and not the full blogpost, please click on the url and you will then see the complete post.

Thank you for the amazing number of entries so far ... obviously you have been able to access the blogpost!!!

Unfortunately, there could only be one winner for the May challenge and this is the result of using random.org:

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper May challenge

Welcome to
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge

There are loads of challenge blogs around, but, as far as I know, there is a gap that needs to be filled:

A challenge that is always about using
Patterned Papers on cards

which is why I started

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge

I don't know about you, but I have enough patterned papers
to keep me going for a very long time

so let's make sure we use plenty of them

You can scroll down to see the winner for the April challenge or click on the link here. It's worth checking because it might be you!

As I have an abundance of patterned paper - 12 x 12, 8 x 8, 6 x 6, A4 - I'm giving a prize each month to the randomly chosen winner. I'm willing to post anywhere in the world, so that means that anyone can enter regardless of where you live.

I hope you will join in again for the May challenge and that the news will spread even further so that others come and join us too.
May challenge

This is the prize for May, which will be given to the randomly chosen winner - this time it is an 8" x 8" paper pack of 40 sheets of Papermania 'Boutique'on the back of which there is a project sheet by Jesse Edwards, the creator of the papers.

If your cards happen to fit the theme for the week on my CHNC challenge blog, please feel free to add there as well and also for my CHNC challenge extra blog, which is always 'anything goes as long as it's Christmas.

Remember that for this Patterned Paper challenge cards
can be for any occasion

This is my first card for the challenge, using some much neglected Far East stack papers (I thought it would be nice to photo the card on top of the 8" x 8" paper stack) - you can read more about this here on My Crafty Outlook:

Please become a follower of this blog and also advertise it on your own blog so that others see it and join in - you may use the logo from the sidebar. Thank you to all of you who have already become followers and have spread the news of this blog - please keep doing so.

May's challenge will end at 20:00 UK time 31 May. The randomly chosen winner will be announced at 23:00 UK time on 31 May and a new challenge will start at midnight on 1 June.

Please include a link to this blogpost within the post for your creation. Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

Please continue to spread the word about this new challenge blog - thank you. And don't forget that you must cover your creation with patterned paper or card.

Winner of Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper April challenge

There were well over 500 entries during April - I so enjoy visiting your blogs and seeing your wonderful creations. I'm glad that this little blog has encouraged some crafters to dig out some of their hoarded patterned papers and use them - and, of course, there's nothing against buying some others and using them too - lol! It was lovely to see some new folk joining in - please continue to 'fly the flag' for this challenge blog so that others get to know about it and join in.

Unfortunately, there could only be one winner for the April challenge and this is the result of using random.org:
